Another thing to consider is the vehicle changes - the default Taxi only gets an average speed, so obviously I'll want to upgrade that as early as possible, but most of the vehicle changes are out of the way which doesnt help. Planning a route that picks up as many turbos as I can get while still getting a fast time would be the ideal thing, but that is only half the problem - when to use the Turbos is the other half, especially with the randomnes of the traffic, I will ideally want a long stretch of road to get the best out of a Turbo use, but that only happens more often in the earlier levels. The main problem when it comes to running DHWAV would be when to use the Turbos. I'll be running it on the Saturn, although the PSX version would be slightly easier to be honest with its password system (I can only save at the start of the next level, and the loading times can be a little long, but I believe they are worse on the PSX).

I wont consider DH2 since it isnt a game that lends itself well to speedrunning.

I've also been working on Die Hard, but that has a lot of randomness with it, more so than DHWAV. I couldnt find a topic about this game, and I've been practising running this for the last few weeks, so I think I will start some serious attempts once my S-Video cable arrives.Īnyway, I'm planning a speedrun of Die Hard Trilogy, or at least one of the modes on it - Die Hard With a Vengance.
